HISTORY
The ORS system started in Germany in 1992 as a result of the new environmental laws. The first demonstration was performed on one of the inventors garage floor to clean a large amount of motorcycle oil that had leaked onto the slab. The test was so successful that it launched a new career for the inventors and ORS was born. The initial going was tough because nobody would believe that this system really worked. The breakthrough came in Munich in the summer of '93 at the Envitec Environmental Convention. Here they met with the industrial engineers from Opel, (European General Motors), and later gave an on-site demonstration of the ORS system at the Opel plant near Frankfurt. The initial test was performed in a concrete basement area under a huge stamping machine. This area was heavily oil saturated from many years of oil contamination. The test was so successful that Opel contracted them to go on and complete over 100, 000 SF of this stamping facility.
After this success, market recognition was achieved and the team went on to complete hundreds of thousands of SF with no failures or call backs reported. The ORS team is still operating very successfully in Germany. One of the ORS developers has come to the USA to work with Koester American to promote this technology here. Our ORS Technical wizard, Joachim (Johann) Bohlmann, is here to demonstrate and train all applicators that are interested in entering the oil remediation market. Joachim will train the appropriate applicators and he will be present on job-sites as necessary or required. He will also be available for technical guidance and assistance at Koester American.
Please contact Koester American to set up live demonstrations and/or to train applicators in your area. |
